DoubleClick by Google

This website continues to use the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google, a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). DoubleClick uses cookies to activate adverts that are relevant to users, to improve campaign performance reports or to prevent a user from seeing the same adverts multiple times. Google uses a Cookie ID to determine which adverts are running in which browser and can prevent them from being displayed multiple times. In addition, DoubleClick uses cookie IDs to track so called conversions related to advert requests. For example, a user sees a DoubleClick advert and later accesses the website of the advertiser with the same browser and buys something there. Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. We have no influence over the extent and the further use of the data, which are collected by the use of this tool by Google and inform you therefore according to our level of knowledge: By including DoubleClick, Google receives the information that you have accessed the relevant part of our website or have clicked on an advert from us. Insofar as you are registered with a service provided by Google, Google may associate the visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, the possibility exists that the provider may find and store your IP address.

You can prevent participation in this tracking process in several ways:

By disabling the cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "www.googleadservices.com", https://www.google.com/settings/ads, this setting being deleted if you delete your cookies;

11. Marketing tools

Google AdWords

Use of Google Adwords Conversion-Tracking/Remarketing

We use the services of Google Adwords using “Conversion tracking”. This involves services from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). which use advertising media (“Google AdWords”) to raise awareness of our services on external websites. In relation to the data of the advertising campaigns, we can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are. Our purpose is to show you advertisements that are of interest to you, to make our website more interesting to you and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs. The legal basis for the processing of your the data is Art. 6 para. 1 S. 1 letter. f of the GDPR, whereby our legitimate interest results from the aforementioned purposes.

These advertising tools are delivered by Google via “ad servers”. For this, we use ad server cookies, which facilitate measurement of success based on defined parameters such as display of ads or user clicks. When you reach our website via a Google advert, Google AdWords places a cookie on your PC. Their cookies generally expire after 30 days and cannot be used to identify you personally. Analysis values such as unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression, (relevant for post-view conversions) plus opt-out information (highlighting that the user no longer wishes to be contacted) are generally saved with this cookie.

These cookies allow Google and us to recognize your internet browser. If the user visits certain pages of the AdWords customer’s website and if the cookie saved on their PC has not yet expired, the AdWords customer and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the advert and was redirected to this page. A different cookie is assigned to each AdWords customer. Therefore cookies cannot be traced via the websites of AdWords customers. We ourselves do not collect and process any personal data in the advertising tools listed. We merely receive statistical evaluations from Google. Using these evaluations, we can identify which of the advertising tools used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of these advertising tools, in particular we cannot identify the user based on this data.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. We have no influence over the extent and the further use of the data, which is collected by the use of this tool by Google and inform you therefore according to our level of knowledge: By including AdWords Conversion, Google receives the information that you have accessed the relevant part of our website or have clicked on an advert from us. Insofar as you are registered with a service provided by Google, Google may associate the visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, the possibility exists that the provider may find and store your IP address.

As well as AdWords Conversion, we use the application Google Remarketing. This involves a process whereby we would like to contact you again. With this application, our adverts can be displayed to you after your visit to our website, during your subsequent internet use. This happens via a cookie saved in your browser, which Google uses to record your user behavior when you visit various websites. This means Google can establish your previous visit to our internet presence. According to Google’s own statements, the data collected as part of remarketing is not merged with your personal data, which may be stored by Google. In particular, Google state that pseudonymization is used with remarketing.

You can prevent participation in this tracking process in several ways:

  • By disabling the cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "www.googleadservices.com", https://www.google.com/settings/ads, this setting being deleted if you delete your cookies;
  • and by adjusting your browser settings, e.g. you may refuse the acceptance of or delete cookies as a whole, third-party cookies (cookies set by a third party, not the current website you are currently on), or individual cookies.

Google also processes your personal information in the United States and has submitted itself to the EU-US Privacy Shield, which ensures compliance with the level of data protection in the EU, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US Framework.

Further information on data protection at Google can be found here:

We use the offer of Bing Ads. These are services of Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA ("Microsoft") which serve to draw attention to our offers with the help of advertising material on external websites. By means of this service, we can track the activities of users who access our website through adverts from Bing Ads. If you visit our website via an advert from Bing Ads, a cookie will be stored on your end device. On our website, a code (Bing UET tag) is integrated, by means of which non-personal data about the use of our website are stored with the cookie. These include, among other things, the length of stay on our website, which pages of our website were accessed, by means of which advertisement of Bing Ads the user has come to our website and the IP address of the user. In relation to the data of the advertising campaigns, we can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are. Our purpose is to show you advertisements that are of interest to you, to make our website more interesting to you and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs. The legal basis for the processing of your the data is Article 6 para. 1 S. 1 lit. f of the GDPR, whereby our legitimate interest results from the aforementioned purposes.

The usage data collected are transmitted to Microsoft servers in the USA, where they are processed and stored for a maximum of 180 days. Microsoft has submitted itself to the EU-US Privacy Shield, which ensures compliance with the level of data protection in the EU, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Microsoft is also able to use cross device tracking to track your usage behavior across multiple devices, displaying personalized adverts on Microsoft websites and Apps. You can disable cross device tracking at the following link: http://choice.microsoft.com/de-de/opt-out
